Dear Fellow Congregants,

It’s time to renew your membership with Congregation Hakafa. Over the past year, we’ve seen vibrant participation in Shabbat and holiday worship, study groups, social justice programs, and educational offerings for all ages. This year has been no different, with significant growth, especially in young family programming. We’ve enjoyed spending time together in person, with more music and a robust Zoom experience for those who can’t join us in person.

As of July 1, we’ve welcomed Cantor Joanna Lind, who will bring a blend of traditional and new music to our services. We ask that you recommit your financial and volunteer support to help continue strengthening the activities that make our congregation thrive. Your commitment ensures we remain a welcoming community and enrich our lives by connecting with people both within and outside our Hakafa circle.

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT 
Congregation Hakafa does no fundraising. We rely solely on your annual financial commitments to meet our expenses. There are no additional fees for our educational programs, either for adults or children. Please contribute as generously as you can.

• The congregation has set the sustaining amount at $3,200 for the 2025-2026 year. This reflects the amount necessary to support our budget if every member contributes equally. 
• We encourage you to give as much as you are able. Our bylaws state that all members should contribute “… in relation to their individual or family financial capabilities.” No one is excluded from our community due to financial concerns, and we do not require financial disclosure.
• We rely on the generosity of those with greater financial means to give above the sustaining amount. Your extra support is deeply appreciated and essential to Hakafa’s continued success.
• Whatever you give to Hakafa, we are grateful that you are part of our Circle.  

Please note:

• You may choose to pay your financial commitment in one or more installments. 
• All financial commitments must be paid in full by May 1, 2026. 
• Your Membership Renewal Form must be submitted before you receive tickets or other access to High Holiday services. This information will be sent at the appropriate time prior to Rosh Hashanah, which starts the evening of September 22. 

TOT PROGRAMMING, RELIGIOUS SCHOOL, HEBREW SCHOOL, AND HIGH SCHOOL: 
Membership includes FREE enrollment in Hakafa Chai, Katan Club, Religious School, Hebrew School, and High School, as our children’s education is central to our mission. Separate enrollment in these programs is required to participate.
